The Department of Business, Aviation, and Construction Professions at Dutchess Community College invites applications for a full-time, tenure track faculty position in Accounting. This position has an expected start date in August 2025.

Responsibilities will include the following:

• Teaching undergraduate classes in Accounting;
• Preparation and management of classroom experiences and assessments to develop successful learning outcomes;
• Assisting students in achieving academic success; and
• Participation in college activities, including membership on shared governance committees.

Job Requirements:
Required qualifications:

• MBA or earned Master's degree in Accounting or a closely related field;
• Experience using MS Excel, Quickbooks, and/or similar accounting software packages on a regular basis;
• College-level teaching experience and/or work experience in the field of Accounting; and An appreciation for diversity of all types and how diversity impacts learning and instruction.

Preferred qualifications:

• Both college-level teaching experience and work experience in the field of Accounting;
• Current CPA license;
• Experience teaching community college students;
• An understanding and appreciation of the role of the community college in higher education;
• Demonstrated competencies in a variety of teaching methodologies and/or pedagogical approaches that reach a broad range of learners;
• The ability to teach a variety of courses in our Accounting degree program;
• Experience in using instructional technology in the classroom, online adaptations, and a willingness to adopt new and emerging technologies; and Demonstrated leadership abilities or experience to potentially become the Chairperson of the Accounting Programs.

Additional Information:
The Tenure Track Faculty - Accounting is a full-time, permanent position.

CLASSIFICATION / SALARY

Class: DUE / Faculty

Salary: $71,996 - $80,376 commensurate with experience and terminal degree.
