Overview

The primary purpose of the Aquaculture Specialist role is to provide high quality daily care and maintenance of fish used in research by the Insco Lab within the Zebrafish Facility at DFCI and assist with zebrafish related experiments. We are seeking an organized and curious team member who is motivated to contribute to cancer research using zebrafish. Prior zebrafish experience is a plus but not required.

This role offers an unusual opportunity to contribute to the early stages of an exciting new laboratory at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. The Insco Lab is pursuing cutting-edge research to discover new treatments for melanoma patients. We are looking to hire someone with a “start up” mindset who is willing to pitch in to help us to continually improve and maintain excellence in our zebrafish facility.

We are hoping to hire someone who can start in June 2024.

Located in Boston, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI) is a fantastic place to work. DFCI brings together world-renowned clinicians, innovative researchers, and dedicated professionals to work collaboratively towards conquering cancer. We aim to recruit talented individuals who enjoy working industriously in a positive team environment. We provide compassionate care to patients of all ages, conduct research to advance treatment of cancer patients, and we educate tomorrow’s leaders in all fields of biomedicine. We work collaboratively to create a diverse and fun work environment along with the other Harvard Medical School-affiliated hospitals.
