Essential Job Duties |
Research in theoretical nuclear physics with an emphasis on the theory of relativistic heavy ion collisions and transport theory. Responsible for leading the heavy ion effort on the DOE grant, including formulating projects, writing the relevant section of the grant application, and co-advising students. |

Ph.D. or equivalent doctorate (e.g., M.D., D.V.M., Sc.D.) in appropriate field awarded no more than five (5) years from initial date of postdoctoral appointment. |
Departmental Required Skills |
PhD in Physics with background in nuclear or particle physics. Applicants with expertise in QCD, heavy-ion physics, hadronic physics, many-body physics, or effective field theory are especially encouraged to apply. |
