Position Summary and Duties

Fellows will engage in the following services and responsibilities:
-initial assessment interviews
-brief individual psychotherapy
-group psychotherapy
-daytime and after-hours crisis intervention
-clinical consultation
-clinical referrals
-outreach programs
-Counseling Center public health and social justice initiatives
-campus committee involvement
-individual and group supervision
-staff clinical team meetings
-training seminars
-professional development opportunities within the Counseling Center, Student Development Division Professional Development In Services, and Loyola employee professional development seminars and meetings

Fellows can choose from two areas of specialization: 1) Public Health 2)
Social Justice. Fellows will then serve
as an apprentice to a senior staff member managing or specializing in the chosen area.
Apprentices will develop a project related to their specialization that enhances some part of that area’s functioning. See our program brochure on our website

Required Qualifications

Successful completion of a doctoral internship at a college counseling
center, as well as requirements for a doctorate in clinical/counseling
psychology from an APA-approved academic program by the end of 2018.

Preferred Qualifications

Completion of doctoral degree by the start date of August 13, 2018.
