Position Summary

The Kau Lab (kaulab.org ) is looking for a Postdoctoral Research�Associate with interest in microbiology, immunology, biochemistry, and�animal models. We utilize a combination of techniques to investigate how�the microbial ecology of the gut, airways, urinary tract, and other mucosal�surfaces interact with host factors to influence human health. Our lab utilizes a range of techniques from animal models, cell culture, molecular biology�and multi-omics approaches to better our understanding of these�interactions.

This position will provide extensive opportunities for training to�complement current skills as well as collaborations with scientists at�Washington University and externally. The successful candidate will also aid�in the mentoring of undergraduate and graduate students.

Required Qualifications

Ph.D., M.D. or equivalent terminal or doctoral degree.

Working Conditions

This position works in a laboratory environment with potential exposure to biological and chemical hazards.�The individual must be physically able to wear protective equipment and to provide standard care to research animals.

Salary Range

Base pay is commensurate with experience.
