Machine Learning Post Doctoral Fellow

We invite applications for a postdoctoral researcher in machine learning. Applicants will broadly be expected to work on research related to the following area:

1.machine learning/deep learning

2. multimodality data in healthcare

3. missing/ incomplete data in healthcare

4. computer vision or neuroimaging data analysis

5. EEG data analysis

Applicants will be expected to lead cutting-edge research and participate in research collaborations with top-tier medical institutions. Applicants will also have the opportunity to develop their own research agenda and start collaborations with faculty at UH.

The position is funded for at least 18 months with a potential extension for 24 months. The target start date is flexible but preferably this spring.

Qualifications

Requires singular knowledge of a specialized advanced professional discipline or the highest level of general business knowledge, normally acquired through attainment of a directly job-related terminal degree or equivalent formal training in a recognized field of specialization that is directly related to the type of work being performed.No experience is required.

Applicants should have demonstrated research experience in machine learning, an interest in healthcare data analytics, and expertise in at least one of the following areas: machine learning, multimodal machine learning, neuroimaging data analysis, computer vision, optimization, or statistics. Proficient programming skills in at least one of the following languages: Python, C, C++, or MATLAB. Prior experience in healthcare is a plus.

Applicants must have a PhD in computer science, electrical engineering, industrial engineering or similar, by the expected start date.

The position is funded for at least 18 months with a potential extension for 24 months.
