All About You

A postdoctoral scientist position available at Saint Louis University to study the connections between lipid load, mitochondrial biology, and cardiac arrhythmias in animal models of cardiomyopathy and heart failure. The position entails working with C. elegans, in addition to ongoing funded studies of inter-generational cardiovascular effects of Nicotine exposure in mice. The lab is also open to topics of mutual interest, as they relate to heart failure and/or cardiovascular toxicity of tobacco products in youth.

 

Qualifications:

Minimum 

PhD or Equivalent in molecular biology, or other biological sciences.

 

Other preferred qualifications:

Experience working with patch clamp device for single cell studies,  Langendorff perfusion preps and working heart preps

Experience with other basic molecular biology tools (i.e., Crispr editing, or SiRNA, and single cell RNA sequencing.) Ability to work with biological sciences students, in a team oriented environment.
