We will use state-of-the-art proteomic methods together with diverse genetic, imaging, electrophysiology and behavioral strategies to assess structural and functional aspects of brain function.

Key Responsibilities:

The Postdoctoral Associate will determine protein dynamics in genetically defined brain cell types in animal models of Alzheimer's Disease using bio-orthogonal non-canonical amino acid tagging (BONCAT) of newly-synthesized proteins and quantitative mass spectrometry, and conduct studies examining cellular and molecular mechanisms contributing to synaptic and neuronal function and plasticity. The candidate will be actively involved in optimizing experimental design, data analysis, data interpretation and preparing manuscripts and presentations.
